Jon Payne

Rev. Dr. Jon D. Payne serves as organizing pastor of Christ Church Presbyterian (PCA) in Charleston, SC (2013— present). He previously served for ten years as pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Douglasville, GA. Dr. Payne, originally from Santa Clara, California, is a graduate of Clemson University, Reformed Theological Seminary, and the University of Edinburgh, New College. He is the Executive Coordinator of the Gospel Reformation Network, trustee of Westminster Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Newcastle, UK, and a trustee of the Banner of Truth Trust. Dr. Payne is series co-editor (with Joel Beeke) of the multivolume Lectio Continua Expository Commentary on the New Testament and the author/editor of numerous books including John Owen and the Lord’s Supper (Banner of Truth, 2004), In the Splendor of Holiness: Rediscovering the Beauty of Reformed Worship for the 21st Century (Tolle Lege Press), A Faith Worth Teaching: The Heidelberg Catechism’s Enduring Heritage (Reformation Heritage Books), and A Faith Worth Defending:The Synod of Dort’s Enduring Heritage (Reformation Heritage Books). Dr. Payne and his wife Marla reside in Mt. Pleasant, SC with their two teenage children, Mary Hannah and Hans.
